Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), or Aqueous Urea Solution (AUS32), is a 32.5% urea solution used to reduce NOx emissions in diesel engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems. It is injected into the exhaust system, where it decomposes into ammonia, which the SCR catalyst then converts to water. DEF helps vehicles meet emission standards and improve air quality.
